Early Years and Education
Born in Dorset within walking distance of the coast, I spent an idyllic childhood playing by the sea shore, in woodlands and forests until at the age of 13 my family relocated to west London. The move from rural Dorset to urban west London was transformational. Access to central London offered me direct contact to art galleries, live theatre and contemporary live music.

The move also involved changing schools, where a more progressive arts focussed curriculum was available and instantly appealed to and nurtured my growing interest in creativity.

I went on to study Fine Art at Harrow school of Art, Newport College of Art and at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff.
Workshops, Exhibitions and Projects
In 1987 my wife Liz and I set up a collaborative project called Arts Access which worked across the UK with Artists, Teachers, Dancers, Musicians, Performers and Writers, developing residency opportunities in Museums, Galleries, Arts Centres, and many outdoor Environmental settings.

Since 2003 we have lived and worked in Cornwall
Our most recent project is the renovation of our recently acquired home, The Ledge, to include a studio and a woodland garden close to the wide horizon of St. Austell Bay on the south coast of Cornwall.
